BIO
Born in Belgium. Graduated P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research & Training Studio's) under the direction of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in Brussels and the Royal Balletschool in Antwerp. In 2007 she has danced internationally with the London-based Indian & contemporary dance companies Anurekha Ghosh and Company, SiWiC Ensemble in Zurich and Cie 13/Rosa Mei in Belgium. Together with the Belgian choreographer Benjamin Vandewalle she created the Comfusao Platform in South Africa and Mozambique and performed at the Umbrella Festival in Johannesburg and Kinani in Maputo. In 2011 and 2012 she danced in 'Blauwe Storm' from Randi De Vlieghe/fABULEUS and danced for Akram Khan for the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games in London 2012. She created own work in collaboration with the jazzband Fivefourtrio, dagbreek with Judith Clijsters, EMOVO EMOVE with the Ionah Trio for Europalia India, Svarta Rosor with operasinger Mieke Segers. From 2013 until now she is dancing in Birdwatching 4x4 by Benjamin Vandewalle.
Besides performing she also teaches freelance for Rosas/Dancing Kids, MOOSS, de Veerman, Lasso, MUS-E, Platform K and Danspunt. With her shortfilm 'What if..?' she won the World Outlook/Particular Eye Prize from IDILL 2014 and got screened in Norway, Bahrain, Sweden and Belgium. This shortfilm was part of the expo 'Slum Kids Ki' (dancefilms made by children from the slums of Mumbai) which was presented at Destelheide, het Dommelhof and C-Mine Cultuurcentrum Genk. In 2016 she worked with 8 hearing impaired youngsters 'de kids' produced by Stad Genk and C-mine cultuurcentrum and her new creation Teentaal with tabla player Sattar Khan.
